Lime Tree Equestrian

Lime Tree Equestrian is known for its friendly atmosphere, well run shows, good surfaces and great catering by Horsed'Hoofers. 2008 is the third year of the successful Strada Saddles Young Dressage Horse League. The single international size dressage arena boasts a Charles Britton rubber surface with a covered judge's box.

Comments and Impression

This livery is completely hidden from the road in the quiet village of Kington Langley, of the southbound A350 towards Chippenham. In fact, so well hidden that I drove past it twice as the temporary sign indicating the venue had blown down. Look out for the electrically operated gates. Parking is no problem as there is plenty of space in the adjacent field.  Not much space to view the tests. Taking pictures was awkward as the arena is surrounded on three sides by tall hedges. On the flip side it's quiet for the horse and rider. Note: The Angus beef burgers are excellent, highly recommended.

Special Interest: Ellen Berchner-Nolan

Based at Billow Farm Livery, Ellen is a British Dressage accredited trainer and BHS international 1 (registered) instructor. She was riding her own horse "Welfie" at Limetree returning to competition after a nasty injury to his knee. A real gentle giant.
