Cotswold Hunt Team chase
The Cotswold Hunt Team Chase was run over the tranquil grounds of Foxcote Manor, near Andoversford, Cheltenham, Glos with the kind permission of the Hon. Mark and Mrs Vestey. This venue was voted team chase of the year 2004 by the competitors. My first introduction to this scary event which sees teams of three or four riders racing through a one-and-quarter mile course of "peaceful" countryside jumping hedges, galloping over fields and leaping ditches. Heart-stopping and I was only watching. Not sure if the course is available to hire, suggest you inquire via the Team Chasing.
Comments and Impression
I have driven past this location numerous times and be totally unaware of this fantastic course. Rain during the week left the ground totally saturated. This meant a severely churned up course for the last competitors including my team of interest "Billow Babes". Getting in and out was a nightmare unless you brought your favourite 4x4.
A glorious crisp autumnal day with fantastic view across the Cotswolds at it's best. Needed two camera's to capture the landscape and riders. Awesome jumps; not for the faint hearted! Those with ditches were over my head.
Special Interest : Billow Babes
Limited pictures as I was concentrating on the Billow Babes. Caught them on three sections of the course with long sprints in between. Although they weren't placed I'm glad they all came back safe and enjoyed the event.
